Pravara Theatre, formerly recognized as Pravara Art Studio, is an NGO located in Bengaluru. Established in 2013, its core vision revolves around the cultivation and promotion of performing arts, with a specific focus on fostering the interests of young art enthusiasts. Over the years, Pravara Theatre has been dedicated to delivering performance art-based education and theater education to a diverse audience, reaching enthusiasts nationwide. Having made a significant impact, Pravara Theatre has proudly organized more than 160 shows across the country during its decade-long journey. The organization remains committed to nurturing the vibrant landscape of performing arts and continues to inspire and educate countless individuals passionate about the world of art.

Founder Director

Hanu Ramasanjeeva is a renowned director and actor with over 15 years of experience in theatre. He started Pravara Theatre in the month of August, in the year 2013 (then Pravara art studio) to encourage and promote the young stage enthusiasts. Hanu Ramasanjeeva has acted in 30 plays and has directed 22 productions in Kannada and English with over 250 shows across the country. He has also acted in documentaries and telefilms during his early years as an actor.

Hanu is acclaimed by all the print and digital media, theatre critics, and society for his work in theatre, philanthropy and was captioned as the youngest director in Kannada theatre in 2011. Hanu also has a major footprint in skill development and performance art based training programs in the corporate companies and the universities. The multi-skilled theatre professional holds a master's degree in computer science from BMS College of Engineering.

Hanu is the first recipient of 'Professor R.V. Prabhakara Ranga Sangatana' Award in 2022 given by Bharatha Yatra Kendra and Rangasourabha, 'Yuva Puraskara' in the year 2016 and was recognized by national media for exceptional work in bringing up the life story of Saalumarada Thimmaka on stage in 2017. He was given stage honors by multiple teams, Antharanga, Daatu Theatre, Adamya Ranga Samskruthi Trust,Spasta and more. He was honored by Dr. Harshavardhan, the then Union Minister of Environment and Climatic Control, Govt of India.
